Then come and join our global team as PhD (f/m/d) for Ultrashort Echo Time MRI & Dental Applications.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Imaging of solid tissues is of high interest in many Magnetic Resonance (MR) applications like muskoskeletal and lung imaging. As an emerging field, also dental MRI could be enhanced by imaging the solid tooth components. Several methods have been developed in the past, relying on data acquisition rapidly during the free induction decay of the spins.
- You will investigate the so-called PETRA or zero-TE sequences (MR specialized sequences) and develop new techniques to facilitate clinical use of the techniques with focus on dental applications
- You will help us with the validation of developed techniques together with our clinical partners world-wide
- The Publication of results in international journals is also one of your tasks

Your qualifications and experience:
- You completed a Master´s degree in physics, medical imaging, informatics, engineering or any other scientific or technical field
- You have programming experience in at least one of these tools: C++, Python, MatLab
- MRI sequence programming skills appreciated and willingness to learn sequence programming and reconstruction in the Siemens framework (IDEA and ICE)
Your attributes and skills:
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken), German is desirable
- You have good collaboration skills to work in an international team
- You are able to self-organize your tasks
