For our valued client Siemens Energy, we are seeking a qualified Spare Parts Specialist/Manager (m/f/d) for their location in Erlangen. In this responsible position, you will manage the entire spare parts lifecycle from tendering through project execution to long-term service agreements. Your Responsibilities:
- Review customer specifications from a spare parts perspective to identify requirements such as reliability and availability criteria, delivery of initial stock of spares, etc.
- Prepare and review customized Spare Parts Concepts for different Reference Designs/Modules
- Maintain standard spare parts lists and spare parts material master
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of suitable processes and tools for technical and commercial spare parts management
- Liaise with the Technical Project Manager and work closely with RAM Specialists and Sub-project Managers to complete and validate the initial stock of spares
- Support the technical clarification of parts identification
- Collaborate with Engineering Teams/Disciplines, Procurement and Logistics to ensure spare parts requirements are met
- Order spare parts with Procurement with sufficient lead time and ensure proper storage at specific locations
- Work closely with Logistics Manager and Site Management to ensure spare parts and tools are shipped, delivered, and properly stored
- Ensure replenishment or additional spares are ordered with sufficient time during the warranty period
- Support Siemens Energy during post-warranty period according to customer´s contractual requirements
- Verify requirements are met under ongoing Service Agreements, including spares usage and inventory levels Supervise actual stocks to ensure quantities are above minimum stock level and meet delivery times for replenishment
- Liaise with RAM team and Service Organization to review operational reliability of components and update spare parts policy accordingly
Your Profile :
- Completed university degree or equivalent education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Process Engineering
- At least 3-5 years of experience with product design, product service or order processing with experience in spare parts management and inventory control Good knowledge of technical data sources (configuration documents, material masters, parts lists, drawings and product changes)
- Sound knowledge of IT applications such as MS Office, SAP, PCM, etc.
- Advanced MS Office 365 application skills, preferably some experience in data exploration and basic knowledge of SAP
- English at an advanced level; German is a plus
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to fit into a multicultural and cross-regional work team
- Ability to work independently and enjoy self-directed work
- Highly motivated to work in an international matrix organization and collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
- Ability to work in agile teams
