In the context of an ongoing tender procedure, GIZ International Services is looking for a Legal Expert in Energy Law (m/f/d) for the EU-funded project "Support to Ukraine's Ministry of Energy on Renewable Gas Policy and evaluation of Gas Infrastructure" in Ukraine.
The overall objective to which this action contributes is to enhance Ukraine’s energy security and independence while supporting the implementation of reforms in Ukraine’s energy sector in accordance with the EU’s energy acquis and Ukraine’s commitments under the Energy Community Treaty, including obligations for the candidate country.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills
Minimum requirements:
- At least Master degree in Law or bachelor in the same field(s) plus at least 880 full-time working days of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced language skills in English C1 and Ukrainian of at least B2 (understanding, speaking, writing in accordance with CEFR) required.
General professional experience
Minimum requirements:
- At least 1 100 full-time working days of experience in a law practice or as a lawyer employed by public institution in the energy sector.
Specific professional experience
Minimum requirements:
- At least 1 100 full-time working days of experience supporting Ministries or regulators on EU acquis alignment in the gas or renewable energy sector.
- Experience in at least two (2) legal advisory projects or assignments for entities in the field of gas transmission, gas storage or energy regulation.
- Asset: Experience in drafting Ukrainian primary and secondary gas or renewable energy sector legislation.
