CIVIL ENGINEER AS PROJECT MANAGER (m/f/d)
At DAHLEM, around 190 employees are involved in national and international projects for livable cities and healthy waterways. Our engineering office designs sewage treatment plants, canals, dikes, supply lines, power lines, flood or heavy rain hazard maps, and much more at several locations.
Since 1937, we have been responsible for civil engineering and building construction in the field of urban water management and know that the consumption of energy and raw materials must be balanced. To this end, we enthusiastically develop solutions that improve living spaces for us and for future generations.
As a project manager in our Essen team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and varied tasks. We are looking for planning and project management expertise for
- Sponge cities and climate adaptation
- Rainwater on new and old paths
- Sewer construction and mixed water treatment
- Flash floods and flood protection
- Water planning
- Energy transition projects
- As a project manager, you will oversee the planning processes in all phases of the HOAI (German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers) and keep an eye on the cost-effectiveness of your projects.
- You are the first point of contact for clients.
- In construction supervision, you are responsible for the quality of the construction work.
- Within personnel planning, you optimally deploy your team to ensure the success of the project.
- You are jointly responsible for the creation of concepts, preliminary, draft, and implementation plans.
- You have a degree in civil engineering or a comparable field.
- You are familiar with all service phases of HOAI, VOB, and construction and water law, and are familiar with planning and construction processes.
- You have already successfully managed projects in urban water management.
- Ideally, you have experience with CAD (AutoCAD, Vestra, Civil) or GIS (ArcGIS-Pro, Q-Gis).
- You are a strong communicator and leader, guiding your projects to success as part of a team.
- You have a structured approach to your work and use Office applications efficiently.
