At ista, we’ve made deliberate choices in our backend stack — Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, CI/CD pipelines that work — and we’re building on top of that with a clear goal: reliable, maintainable systems that support real products.
- Design and build backend services using Java (21+) and Spring Boot
- Create and maintain APIs used by other systems and frontend apps
- Contribute to design discussions around architecture, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and platform engineers to solve real-world problems
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code — and help others do the same
- Support CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence with your team
What we require of you
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Java and Spring Boot in production environments
- You’ve worked with modern backend architecture — REST, microservices, event-driven patterns
- You think in systems — not just endpoints and functions
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar), Git-based workflows, Containerization
- A healthy respect for test coverage, automation, and clean interfaces
- You’re calm under pressure, constructive in code reviews, and good at sharing what you know
