Then come and join our global team as a Hardware Architect and Technical Project Manager (f/m/d) for control systems and data networks at Advanced Therapies. In this technical leadership role, you will help shape the next generation of our angiography devices. The position is aimed at strategically minded individuals who enjoy inspiring high-performing international teams and helping to shape innovative control solutions and powerful network architectures in one of the most demanding disciplines in medical technology.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Hardware Component Ownership
You will be responsible for the management and coordination of component development and integration in close coordination with interdisciplinary teams and will be responsible for their quality and compliance with all regulatory requirements. In doing so, you will record and evaluate the requirements from the system's point of view and use them to define future-proof solutions for the control and communication components of our angiography devices. In implementation, you will coordinate suppliers and development partners and use resources efficiently. You will observe the market, identify innovative technologies and customer requirements, and incorporate them into development projects in a targeted manner. - Modular Architecture
You will develop and maintain a modular architecture that enables the reusability of components in different system variants and rapid adaptation to new technological developments. You will also actively support the continuous development of a modular process for the targeted development of a scalable product structure. - Functional safety
You will define the requirements for functional safety, conduct risk analyses and FMEAs and consistently implement standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 61508, or ISO 14971. You will accompany the development of safe, reliable system solutions through to approval. -
Interdisciplinary collaboration
You will represent architectural solutions vis-à-vis platform architects and product management, advocate for necessary resources and communicate results transparently. In doing so, you will build trusting relationships with internal stakeholders in an international environment and ensure strategic coordination.

Youri qualifications and experience:
- You have a degree in electrical engineering, medical technology, or a comparable field of study.
- You have several years of project experience in the component development of complex control or communication systems in the hardware sector, ideally in the field of imaging systems in medical technology with functional safety aspects.
- You have in-depth knowledge of system and subsystem architectures, development experience of electronic components as well as control technology, high-speed data transmission protocols and communication networks (e.g., Ethernet, CAN, Profinet/-safe).
- You have in-depth experience with hardware development processes and in dealing with relevant norms and standards (e.g., IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 61508). These have been successfully applied in the development of components as well as in the creation and design of safety concepts.
- Practical experience with modular systems, their implementation and the documentary and approval challenges in the context of platform and product development is an advantage.

- Your very good language skills in English will enable you to operate successfully in an international environment; Good knowledge of German is an advantage
