Then come and join our global team as Head of Corporate Environmental Protection  (f/m/d) to develop and implement an Environmental Protection Strategy to support the definition of tangible, achievable environmental objectives of Siemens Healthineers thus improving environmental performance and ensuring environmental regulatory compliance (own site/country/local operations) overall.

You will ensure this strategy, and associated objectives & targets are supporting the sustainability strategy of the organization. Focus shall be on own operations and associated with

a. pollution prevention

b. energy efficiency

c. waste avoidance and minimization (nurturing material efficiency and circularity)

d. water resources

e. biodiversity

f. innovative ideas to minimize environmental footprint

This position can be located at any Healthineers location globally.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You are responsible for the definition of required policies (governance), targets, KPIs and actions (top down) to guide and steer the organizational units towards improving their environmental performance. This includes the definition of required internal controls and their associated auditing.
• You will develop and implement respective global risk mitigation/opportunity leverage programs and initiatives to drive site-related environmental resource conservation (energy, water, waste), pollution prevention & control (air emission, wastewater discharge, noise, light pollution) and protecting & fostering biodiversity, enabling/allowing regional and local adaptation.
• You will ensure contributions from industrial environmental protection meet non-financial reporting requirements (e. g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy) Siemens Healthineers is obliged to report externally in terms of content and availability.
• You will influence Senior Management on all levels of the organization to adopt and integrate Environmental aspects and objectives into their business.
• You will lead, inspire and further develop a team of currently 4 Environmental experts.
• You will continuously develop and lead a global Environmental Protection community. This particularly includes the Green Teams on site and on country level. You will provide Green teams with direction and required Management visibility and support.

Your qualifications and experience:

• You have a university degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Technical Environmental Protection, Environmental Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• Ýou have many years of working on Environmental Protection topics, preferably in the Healthcare business with extensive R&D, Manufacturing and Service Business
• You have proven Leadership experience in a complex matrix organization
• You possess proven experience in Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001, Management System Auditing, as well as EU Taxonomy and European Environmental Reporting Standards
• additional qualifications in Sustainability / Corporate Social Responsibility are preferred
