A global Japanese trading company is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounting and finance, including monthly closing, tax filings, budgeting, cash flow management, and team leadership. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and efficient operational processes.

TYPE: One-year fixed-term contract (with potential for extension or permanent employment)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-18:00, Monday to Friday
SALARY: €65,000–€75,000 DOE
START: February 2026 (Negotiable)
LOCATION: Near Frankfurt / Dietzenbach

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee daily accounting operations, monthly closing, and tax filings (sales tax, corporate tax, etc.)
• Analyse P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, providing timely reports and advice to management
• Formulate and monitor budgets, manage cash flow, and propose necessary adjustments
• Implement and manage ERP systems, improve internal controls, and optimise accounting processes
• Lead, train, and evaluate the accounting team, ensuring effective delegation and skill development
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and other relevant regulations

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting/finance management, preferably in a multinational environment
• Fluent in German and business-level proficiency in English
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Datev) and financial reporting under German GAAP and IFRS
• Ability to collaborate with senior management and provide proactive recommendations
