CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Controller to join our team in Frankfurt am Main. Our Investment, Accounting, and Reporting Solutions division operates on a global scale, with offices strategically located in the Germany, UK, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, and Poland. As a Senior Accountant, you will collaborate with a committed team to ensure that our reporting services align with client expectations and industry standards.
About the Role:
- Oversee the ongoing controlling and reporting of activities related to the management of real estate investments across Germany and EMEA.
- Support the financial management of holding/investment structures for real estate assets.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports and coordinate related corporate governance matters.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for asset and property managers, fostering strong client relationships.
- Contribute to the successful integration of real estate companies, supporting their active management and reporting processes (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
- Liaise with tax and legal experts to address related matters.
- Coordinate external consultants, including tax advisors, auditors, and international accounting teams.
- Ensure compliance with local legal regulations for real estate companies, as well as adherence to the German Investment Act and other internal/external guidelines.
- Manage corporate matters within the international holding structures of real estate investments, including distributions, capital increases, and conversions.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or a related field or relevant experience.
- Solid understanding of German accounting principles (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Familiarity with other generally accepted accounting principles (e.g., Lux GAAP, KAGB) and German tax law is a plus.
- Fluency in both German and English, both written and spoken.
