Planner / Scheduler Project Manager - Data Centers (m/f/d)
We are seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler specializing in data center projects to develop, maintain, and analyze comprehensive project schedules, ensuring timely completion of complex construction and infrastructure implementations while optimizing resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for data center construction projects using Primavera P6, incorporating all project activities, milestones, and dependencies
- Analyze schedule performance, identify potential delays, and recommend recovery strategies to maintain project timelines while documenting schedule changes and maintaining schedule baselines
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather activity updates, resource requirements, and progress information to keep schedules current and accurate
- Generate customized schedule reports, S-curves, earned value analyses, and look-ahead schedules to communicate project status and forecast completion dates to management and clients
- Conduct schedule risk assessments, scenario planning, and what-if analyses to identify potential bottlenecks and optimize construction sequences for data center builds
- Support resource leveling, cost loading, and cash flow forecasting to optimize project execution and assist with claims analysis and time impact evaluations when required
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field with several years of experience in planning/scheduling complex data center or mission-critical facility projects
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 with demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and analyze large-scale construction schedules and customize reports for various stakeholders
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and interdependencies specific to data center infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, networking, and building systems)
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate technical scheduling concepts into clear communications for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with resource and cost loading, earned value management, and schedule risk analysis techniques with ability to forecast impacts and develop mitigation strategies
- PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification or equivalent preferred; experience with additional scheduling tools and BIM integration is a plus
