Internship in the "International and Euro Area Macroeconomic Analysis” Division
Location: Frankfurt am Main Position: Internship, temporary position (3 to 6 months) Job ID: 2025_0870_02
The "International and Euro Area Macroeconomic Analysis” Division analyses and macroeconomic developments at the global level and in the euro area or in the European Union.
Valuable work: your role with us
During your internship, you will assist in ongoing work and/or work independently under the guidance of experienced staff on a project on one of the following topics:
- international business cycle analysis
- international commodity markets
- analysis of global trade and geo-economic fragmentation
- effects of trade fragmentation on inflation
- sectoral analyses of productivity and digitalisation
- Further development of our multi-sector DSGE model
The project may be incorporated into a master’s thesis and/or a research paper, if appropriate. Depending on your qualifications, longer-term research projects are also possible.
Unique assets: your skills and qualifications
Master’s or PhD students in economics with:
- very good knowledge of economics and econometrics
- an interest in quantitative and empirical methods and issues relating to macroeconomic, price and growth analysis
- knowledge of Stata, R, Matlab, Dynare, Python or similar products (desirable)
- very good command of written and spoken German or English
- Current grade point average of 2,5 or better
- Students must be enrolled at an university for the entire duration of the internship
