In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As a Senior Mobile Developer Android, you will play a pivotal leadership role in the development and delivery of mobile applications for the IBM Health Platform or similar enterprise scale applications. You will guide multiple teams through the full product lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and alignment with strategic goals.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Pioneering Mobile Solutions with Latest Technologies: Lead the design and construction of new mobile solutions using the latest technologies, always looking to add business value and meet user requirements.
• Continuous Improvement and Agile Development: Strive for continuous improvements by testing the build solution and working under an agile framework.
• Technology Trends and Creative Solutions: Discover and implement the latest technologies trends to maximize and build creative solutions.

• You lead mobile architecture decisions and best practices (Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform, Jetpack Compose, etc.).
• You mentor and support other developers (documentation, code reviews).
• You build, test, and deploy native Android applications.
• You implement secure backend communication using best practices.
• You champion Security by Design principles; organize/participate in penetration tests.
• You have substantial experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and shared SDKs between Android and iOS.
• You know the principals of S.O.L.I.D and clean architecture.
• You ensure compliance with industry security standards (OWASP Top Ten Risks, OpenId, AES, secure comms, access controls).
• You navigate government and regulatory development constraints.
• You collaborate with clients and teams to translate business needs into mobile solutions.
• You drive innovation and continuous improvement across teams.
• You manage CI/CD with Github Actions.
• Fluent German language skill is mandatory

• Domain Knowledge in German health insurance system.
• Experience with gematik standards: Understanding of interoperability and security standards defined by gematik, including TI (Telematikinfrastruktur), ePA (elektronische Patientenakte), and eRezept.
• Data Privacy & Compliance: Strong grasp of GDPR and German-specific data protection regulations as they apply to healthcare applications.
