Eurofins In Vitro Diagnostics Solutions is looking for a Project Manager for its Gold Standard Diagnostics office located in Freiburg, Germany.
Gold Standard Diagnostics is a global provider of diagnostic technologies and instruments in the fields of bioanalytical testing for the food, feed, environmental, animal health, and clinical diagnostics industries.
With expert teams in Research & Development, manufacturing, sales, and customer service, they provide innovative, reliable solutions worldwide, aiming to enhance the customer experience. Their goal is to deliver a gold standard of laboratory diagnostics and provide comprehensive testing solutions for Eurofins and third-party laboratories.
To support our food safety operations in Freiburg, Germany, we are looking for a collaborative V.I.E candidate with an affinity for science. As Food Safety Project manager, you will lead science-based projects – rather than commercial tasks – and collaborate closely with research and development teams. This position is ideal for early-career professionals with a scientific background who are motivated to grow their expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
As Food Safety Project manager, you will:
Plan and manage scientific projects in close collaboration with Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Management teams.
Conduct market analyses to identify relevant regulatory and technological developments.
Coordinate project teams and internal stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of the product development and process optimisation.
Create and maintain project-related documentation, presentations, and training materials.
Organise and conduct internal and external trainings on project content and regulatory requirements.
Participate in scientific conferences and industry events for networking and knowledge exchange.
Maintain and further develop project-related databases and tools.
Support contract and resource management within the project structure.
Bridge the gap between scientific departments and international partners – with a focus on project transparency and quality assurance.

Qualifications
Are you our kind of extraordinary?
Education: Currently enrolled, soon-to-graduate or recently graduated with a university degree or master’s degree in engineering, biotechnology. Initial practical experience in a scientific project management role, ideally in diagnostics, food safety, or medical technology. Strong interest in regulatory compliance and scientific project management is a plus.
Languages: Fluent in English, German is a plus.
Personal skills: You have strong communication skills, with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities. You are flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Please note that V.I.E contracts are only applicable to European Economic Area (EEA) citizens who are between 18 and 28 years old. The position is based in Freiburg, Germany.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Duration of the contract: 12 months.
