Job description
At Stryker, we are transforming how patient-specific implants are inspected - moving from manual processes to a fully digital production flow. We’re building the infrastructure from the ground up, and we’re looking for a forward-thinking expert to lead the way.
In this role, you will take a leading role in the design, optimization, and implementation of state-of-the-art inspection and metrology processes for personalized maxillofacial surgical products. You will drive innovation through the integration of advanced technologies and digital analysis tools, ensuring robust and efficient manufacturing processes from concept to launch. As a technical expert within a dynamic, cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop cost-effective, high-quality solutions that support Stryker’s commitment to precision and patient-specific care.
What you will do:
Independently identifies, develops, moderates, and/or leads technical approaches to a variety of challenges across multiple projects.
Takes full ownership of inspection and metrology technologies for maxillofacial surgical products.
Applies state-of-the-art engineering tools, techniques, and equipment to ensure precise and reliable inspection processes.
Establishes and maintains productive working relationships both internally and externally; may also provide guidance and training to colleagues as needed.
Delivers engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring all tasks are completed and documented in compliance with Stryker’s New Product Development (NPD) procedures.
Ensures product and process quality in accordance with defined operational and material specifications.
What you will need:
Required:
Master’s degree in Engineering and a Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated experience in solving complex technical issues in manufacturing and design, strong judgment in mechanical and structural design decisions
Strong expertise in programming of automated measurement routines using specific software (e.g. Polyworks, C++ and others)
Extensive experience in industrial 3D metrology and image-based inspection methods, including hands-on experience with optical measurement techniques (e.g computed tomography and equivalent)
Excellent interpersonal skills; capable of effectively communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams; open-minded and receptive to innovative ideas
Preferred:
Proven ability to develop and implement measurement strategies based on technical drawings
Strong understanding of Design for Inspection and Design for Manufacturing , validation/verification methodologies including measurement system analysis
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, including proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Familiarity with automation technologies and/ or machine learning applications preferred
Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, and both product and process design
