As the Network DevOps Engineer for networking value stream of Swisscom's 2nd/3rd Brand Offerings known as Wingo - you will own the pulse of every packet. Driving automation, capacity strategy and lifecycle excellence, you’ll collaborate across teams to keep our business humming while continuously reinventing the fabric beneath it.
- D esign and shape the future of our Cisco Nexus-based DC fabric, high-speed Cisco aggregation routers and vSAN HCI—always aligned with our enterprise vision
- Secure flawless operations by monitoring utilisation, running acceptance tests and leading incident response and lifecycle upgrades
- Automate with intent: craft, test and deploy configuration pipelines that eliminate toil and accelerate safe change.
- Champion cooperation — partner widely with IT, security and customer squads to deliver seamless end-to-end connectivity
- Promote collaboration with IT, security and customer teams on VPN, DNS, CGNAT and CPE solutions to deliver seamless end-to-end connectivity
- Drive transformation by scouting emerging tech, tools and best practices
Your Skills
- Degree (ETH/Uni) in Computer Science or Telecommunications or relevant experience
- Several years of hands-on, production-grade service-provider or data-center networking (CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/IE or equivalent mastery)
- Deep IP and routing expertise ( OSPF/BGP) , as well as robust security and scripting/automation know-how (Python, Ansible and GitOps)
- DevOps mindset for designing, running, and improving projects and the courage to make bold decisions
- Cooperative and charismatic communicator who is a persuasive storyteller, calm incident commander and natural team collaborator
- Fluent English; French and German is a plus
- Analytical, self-driven, reliable and passionate about building stable, cost-smart networks that just work
- Practical portfolio required
