We’re a growing SAAS and independent consulting business based in West Salem, WI, specializing in manufacturing data collection and analysis. Founded by a UW La Crosse and UW Madison alumni, we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team and contribute to exciting projects.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Junior React Developer contractor to help build and maintain web applications for manufacturing data management. This is a contract position ideal for students nearing graduation or recent graduates looking to gain professional experience in a dynamic environment.

Position Details

• Location: Fully remote with opportunities for in-person meetings if desired
• Hours: Flexible
• Duration: Till either party decides to not continue working together
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Compensation: project based, $100 per project that both parties agree will take a month
• Effective hourly rate is very low
• This is a job for junior devs needing professional work on their resume and not meant to be a sustainable long term job
• As a small tech startup I have very little income right now
• Work Authorization: For direct contracts you need to be US based, but I am willing to work through 3rd party contract houses if needed for non-US contractors

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) web applications
• Convert older jQuery interfaces to modern React components
• Collaborate with team members using Agile methodologies and Scrum-like ceremonies
• Contribute ideas and challenge assumptions to improve our products and processes

Required Skills

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with React or similar modern SPA frameworks
• Basic understanding of TypeScript
• Familiarity with responsive web design principles
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Shadcn, charting libraries like Chart.js, Tanstack Table
• Knowledge of C# and ASP.NET Core
• Familiarity with Node.js and Next.js, Zod
• Practice with automated testing using Vitest, React-Testing, and Playwright
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and data

• This is a project-based contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and mutual fit
