The Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship is a non-profit institution based in Geneva which champions contemporary craftspeople worldwide with the aim of promoting a more human, inclusive and sustainable future. The Foundation seeks to highlight the connections between craft, the wider arts and the design world. Its mission is to both celebrate and preserve craftsmanship and its diversity of makers, materials and techniques, by increasing craft’s everyday recognition and its viability as a professional path for the next generations. From engaging educational programmes to its signature digital project the Homo Faber Guide and international exhibition the Homo Faber Event, the Foundation is fostering a cultural movement centered on master artisans.
Contract date : From 1 October 2025 – 31 September 2026
The main responsibility of the Visual assets database Intern is to assist the Visual asset coordinator in different tasks.
Ensure that the Image library of the Foundation respects the guidelines in terms of naming, image quality, IP rights and caption.
Support on technical improvements of the platform
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Reporting to the Visual Asset Coordinator, this role will be responsible for:
Maintaining the Visual assets database:

Ensure that the collected content (photos and videos) is cleared in terms of IP rights .
Register all the photo and video assets on the image library with the appropriate copyrights and legends according to the defined classification.
Priority assets are related to Homo Faber Guide and Homo Faber Event
Supporting the maintenance of the Visual assets database platform:
Assist the Visual coordinator and ensure the quality of the database including technical improvements
Metadata preparation for integration with other systems.
Provide the visual assets to relevant stakeholders:
Prepare and share visual assets with the relevant stakeholders in the Foundation and with external parties.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US
The successful candidate will demonstrate alignment with the Foundation values and goals.
Knowledge
Knowledge in visual communication and interest in the métiers d’art
Fluent in English and in French
Experience
1 year minimum of experience in digital visual asset classification
Familiar with Digital asset management systems
Notions of IP rights
Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop
Skills
Rigorous, detail oriented and proactive
Team Player
