About the Role: ATMOS Space Cargo is looking for a Harness Engineer to design, develop and build electrical harnessing solutions for our Phoenix Capsule series. This role is essential in ensuring robust electrical connectivity throughout the spacecraft.Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and test electrical harness systems for avionics and power distribution.• Select appropriate components, such as connectors, cables, and shielding for space environments.• Coordinate hardware procurement and manage external suppliers,• Set up on-site production capabilities in order to produce test cables as well as flight harnesses.• Develop harness routing plans and interface definitions.• Perform integration and verification of harness assemblies.• Work closely with other technical teams (e.g. avionics, mechanical, communication) as well as with AIT teams to ensure seamless integration.Basic Qualifications & Requirements:• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.• 3+ years of experience in electrical harness design, manufacturing and integration.• Proficiency in CAD tools for harness design (e.g., CATIA Electrical, Zuken E3, SolidWorks Electrical).• Basic knowledge in the use of basic harnessing tools for crimping, soldering, etc.• Knowledge of space-rated materials, harness testing procedures and relevant standards.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with ECSS or NASA standards for wiring and harnessing.• Relevant training and/or appropriate hands-on experience with harness fabrication and assembly.• High aptitude and focus for quality control.Why Join Us?• Be part of an innovative and rapidly growing space startup revolutionizing microgravity research.• Work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and international team.• Enjoy competitive salary, stock options, and career growth opportunities.• Contribute to meaningful projects that advance science and technology in space.Join ATMOS Space Cargo and help shape the future of space transportation!
