Our European Headquarter in Gersthofen is looking for a IT Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization & Backup) (m/f/d).
What your job includes
- Design, implementation & maintenance of virtualisation, backup & server solutions
- Monitoring system performance, diagnosing problems and executing corrective actions for virtualisation & backup systems
- Performing regular backups and recovery tests
- Optimisation of server configurations
- Documenting system configurations, processes & technical specifications
- Liaising with IT teams to support system upgrades, patches & integration measures
- Adherence to security standards and compliance requirements
What we expect from you
- Completed training/ Bachelor's degree in IT or similar field, alternatively equivalent experience with existing certifications
- Professional experience in the areas of virtualisation (e.g. VMware/ Nutanix, hyperconverged infrastructure), data backup and server management, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong technical knowledge of server administration, particularly in Microsoft server environments
- Excellent troubleshooting, analysing and problem solving skills
- Proactive, solution-orientated and structured mindset and ability to work in a team
- Fluency in English, advanced in German
