Research Associate Bioinformatics (all genders)

Full time and permanent

Responsibilities:

• Process and analyze omics screening data
• Participate in development of workflows and apps for automated summarization and interactive exploration of large-scale screening data
• Participate in improving data processing and analysis capabilities by optimizing existing and developing new workflows
• Support interdisciplinary project teams in various research areas with bioinformatics expertise
• Collaborate efficiently with other scientists within the company

​ Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with several years of relevant professional experience or PhD in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related discipline
• Deep understanding of Bioinformatics methods and tools within the context of compound screens and omics data analysis
• Strong programming skills in at least one programming language
• Experience in software implementation of bioinformatics methods and pipelines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work both in team and independently in a fast-paced work environment
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Experience with R and shiny is a significant plus
• Experience in working with Linux systems is of advantage
• Understanding of drug discovery process is a significant plus
