Your diverse range of tasks

DevOps is a core principle throughout your work:You will independently develop cloud and on-premises data pipelines as the foundation for data platforms within a DevOps team.
Translating and implementing requirements:Based on business requirements, you will create technical data engineering concepts and implement them in the code. You will apply your knowledge of technologies with appropriate tool support (coding, ETL, data prep, streaming), data-holding systems (blob stores, SQL, NoSQL, document, and node databases), and state-of-the-art modeling techniques to support clients with proof of concept and to realize client requirements in projects.
Taking responsibility:You can independently manage and control smaller projects or sub-projects as a technical project manager. With your wealth of experience, you will support less experienced team members.
Communication is paramount:You will maintain close communication with...

• the specialist departments and architects for project-related coordination
• to ensure professional expectation management and customer satisfaction for your customers

Project experience:You have at least 2 years of project experience, a good understanding of data engineering services, and knowledge of related services such as streaming, machine learning, and reporting.

Expertise is a given:You possess...

• Knowledge of different data storage technologies (SQL databases, Data Lake, Lakehouse)
• Solid knowledge of Python, SQL, Java or Scala
• Good knowledge of different data structures (relational, json, xml) and their processing options (API, Batch, Messaging, Streaming)
• Strong knowledge of data processing and analysis in the cloud, especially with AWS Lambda, Glue, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or dbt
• Knowledge of Code Version Control and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker
• Knowledge of Big Data processing and analysis with Spark
• Knowledge of workflow management systems such as Airflow, AWS Data Pipelines, EKS, or Step Functions
