You’ll collaborate across teams to transform user needs into robust technical solutions, contributing to the development of secure IoT platforms and large-scale distributed systems. Your work will directly impact how customers experience our technology—from embedded systems to cloud-connected services—helping deliver meaningful value in a rapidly evolving IoT landscape. This role focuses on OTA update mechanisms, secure provisioning, and fleet management, ensuring reliability and scalability for thousands of connected devices.
What You’ll Do
Design and develop distributed systems and microservices primarily using Java (21+) and the Spring ecosystem, while also leveraging Python and Go where appropriate to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
Architect and implement OTA update pipelines and secure provisioning workflows for IoT devices.
Build high-performance, event-driven architectures leveraging Apache Kafka.
Develop and optimize relational database models (especially with PostgreSQL) and incorporate non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) as needed. Design and maintain data pipelines for analytics and real-time insights to support IoT and fleet management use cases.
Integrate backend services with AWS cloud components.
Collaborate with Solution and Security Architects to implement new features and maintain existing systems.
Translate user requirements into robust technical designs through analytical thinking.
Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure technical solutions align with customer needs.
Take ownership of your components and mentor junior developers.
Contribute to system evolution through refactoring and migration initiatives.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement processes.
Explore emerging IoT innovations across industrial gateways and cloud platforms by attending workshops, conferences, and technology forums to bring fresh insights and enrich our product offerings.
Work closely with DevOps and UI teams to enable smooth and frequent production deployments.
Your Profile
Degree in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of experience in backend development.
Deep expertise in distributed systems and microservice architecture.
Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with event-driven systems and Apache Kafka.
Exposure to cloud platforms, especially AWS.
Familiarity with IT security concepts and secure software development practices.
Passion for IoT and eagerness to contribute to cutting-edge product development.
Operate in an agile environment with a distributed team.
Fluent in English.

Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract.
