Responsibilities
- Independent research work as part of the funded research project ‘CO4HUB – Collaborative Urban Logistics Hubs’: data collection, data analysis, writing final reports and scientific publications
- Development and scientific analysis of innovative solutions for sustainable urban logistics, particularly with regard to business models, organisational forms and governance models
- Supporting the project management in coordinating partners from science, industry and public administration in the funded research project ‘CO4HUB’
- Supporting the design, implementation and evaluation of real-world laboratories and pilot projects in Austrian cities
- Writing a dissertation on the topic of sustainable urban logistics: business models, organisational forms and political framework conditions
- Supervision of final theses (e.g. bachelor's and master's theses)
- Participation in scientific conferences and similar events
- Administrative and organisational activities
- Possible participation in university committees
Admission Requirements
Completed degree in mechanical engineering and business economics, software engineering and management, production science and management, computational social systems, logistics management or comparable degree
Desired Qualification
- Experience in project management, ideally in a university context
- Prior knowledge of business models and organisational theory
- Experience in empirical research (e.g. interviews, surveys, case studies)
- Enjoyment of scientific work in an interdisciplinary team and in collaboration with partners from the field
- Skills in analytical and systemic thinking
- Ability to work independently
- Practical experience in the logistics industry or related industries desirable
- Work experience in international teams and occasional willingness to travel of advantage
- Very good knowledge of English and German

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,865.40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Organisational Unit
The institute for General Management and Organization is concerned with leadership and management of the enterprise as a whole. It offers courses and seminar for students in bachelor and master studies. In the lectures we aim to develop and disseminate knowledge that will contribute to improve the practice of management. We constantly seek to improve the content of our lectures by adding new conclusions from research. The main research topics are business models, technology management and entrepreneurship.
