Client Requirement – SAP ABAP Developer (FIORI/PO) – Groningen – 1-Year Contract

We have received a new requirement for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join an ongoing SAP ECC environment in Groningen , Netherlands. This is a replacement position due to a team member’s upcoming departure, ensuring continuity of service during and beyond a transitional phase in the business.

Key Details:

• Role : Senior SAP ABAP Developer

• Location : Groningen, Netherlands (hybrid – 1 day per week onsite )

• Start Date : Week commencing 7th July 2025

• Contract Duration : 1 year fixed-term (non-extendable)

• Work Type : Full-time, freelance/contract

• Language : English (Dutch is advantageous)

Environment:

• Current SAP environment: SAP ECC

• S/4HANA migration is planned but not yet implemented

• Business area: Financial processes , including support for Purchase Orders (PO)

• Team mix: Permanent staff and contractors, with some transition to SAP BTP by new team members

• This role will not be focused on the BTP implementation but will ensure continuity of business-as-usual operations

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver ABAP development and technical support across financial process applications

• Ensure stable operation and improvement of existing FIORI applications

• Maintain and enhance key areas of functionality, particularly within PO processes

• Collaborate with internal teams to manage support incidents, technical enhancements, and standard maintenance tasks

• Ensure compliance with ECC-based standards and contribute to long-term readiness for future migration to S/4HANA

Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years’ experience as an SAP ABAP Developer

• Proven expertise with FIORI applications and PO (Purchase Order) development/integration

• Strong technical understanding of SAP ECC environments

• Comfortable operating in a support/maintenance (BAU) capacity

• Able to attend the Groningen office once a week
