Their Groningen site plays a key role in raw material and component supply for critical medical devices.

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Supplier Engineer with deep expertise in plastic injection molding to lead supplier-related engineering activities. This role will focus on driving performance, quality, and innovation in the raw material supply chain. You’ll work closely with global suppliers, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage complex technical projects from concept to execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects related to supplier performance, quality improvements, and new product introduction (NPI)

• Serve as a subject matter expert for injection molding, tooling design, and part validation

• Manage cross-functional teams and timelines across global locations

• Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions with suppliers

• Collaborate with Procurement, R&D, Quality, and Operations to ensure supply continuity

• Support lifecycle changes and design updates to molded components

• Maintain project documentation, budgets, and compliance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field

• 5+ years of experience in supplier, process, or manufacturing engineering

• Strong expertise in plastic injection molding, tooling, and mold design

• Experience with GD&T, metrology, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and Six Sigma/Lean tools

• Solid understanding of quality systems and regulatory environments (medical or similar)

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

• Willingness to travel (up to 15%)
