Responsibilities
You take the lead in designing and implementing process automation assets for our modular automation platform based on Siemens PLC and WinCC OA technology
Translating process requirements into robust automation architectures , control concepts , and software designs is part of your daily work
You review and verify functional and design specifications to ensure quality and compliance
Acting as a hands -on technical authority , you contribute directly to PLC programming , including code creation , review, and approval
You mentor and guide automation engineers and developers , fostering technical excellence within the team
Working closely with project managers , you help ensure end‑ to ‑end solution viability and successful delivery
Your support for project planning includes effort estimation and technical risk management
You hold a Master’s degree in Science; a Ph.D . is considered a plus
With at least five years of industry experience in process automation or related fields , you bring extensive expertise
Your deep understanding of process automation and related standards such as ISA‑95 and ISA‑88 sets you apart
You have demonstrated technical leadership within product development projects , including stakeholder management
A strong proficiency in Siemens PLCs and programming in Structured Control Language (SCL) using TIA Portal is expected
You are familiar with computer systems validation practices (GAMP)
An understanding of TOGAF principles complements your skill set
Experience in upstream and downstream bioprocessing is advantageous , though not required
