For our Sales department, we are looking for a
Area Sales Manager (m/f/d)
at our Hamburg location, someone who embodies what all our employees have in common: always going one step further.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify and understand the needs of existing, new, and potential customers
- Represent and promote HOYER’s solutions across all relevant business areas
- Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with clients
- Prepare and submit service quotations tailored to customer requirements
- Document all sales activities accurately in the CRM system
- Negotiate customer contracts, including regular price adjustments
- Understand and contribute to the development of costing and pricing strategies
- Respond to customer tenders and requests for quotations
- Collaborate closely with the operations team on projects, day-to-day business, complaint resolution (at escalation level), and the implementation of new business
- Support the creation and ongoing management of regional budgets and targets in coordination with the Head of Sales
Your Expertise
- Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience in the logistics sector, ideally with a focus on liquid chemicals and intermodal or overseas transportation
- Strong ability to identify market trends and customer needs, and to translate insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent command of English, including negotiation-level proficiency
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and hands-on, with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, self-discipline, and ownership
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, competitive, and high-pressure environment
- Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently as required
