Your Tasks
Are you passionate about improving financial processes, ensuring compliance, and working with international teams? We are looking for a Consultant Accounting & Governance (all genders) - fixed-term for 2 years to strengthen our Global Finance Services team and support the rollout and governance of standardized accounting processes across Europe.
As part of our Global Finance Services team, you will collaborate closely with local finance teams across Europe, internal service centers, and external shared service providers.
What you will do
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and processes
- Monitor and drive operational performance (KPIs, process quality, efficiency)
- Manage external international service providers to ensure service quality and performance
- Optimize and harmonize financial processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash) across countries
- Identify and implement process improvement measures to increase efficiency and standardization
- Support and advise local entities on accounting best practices and standard processes
- Support global Finance projects and manage their rollout in the European region
- Build knowledge and provide training to ensure consistent process understanding across countries
- Take ownership of specific finance topics and act as a regional coordinator when needed
- Work in close partnership with the Global Financial Services and regional Finance teams
Your Profile
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or professional qualification in Accounting (e.g. Certified Accountant / "Bilanzbuchhalter”)
- Several years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance Operations, ideally in an international environment
- Deep understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger and strong SAP knowledge
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and process improvement skills
- Ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills and result-driven approach
- Proactive and hands-on mindset
- Fluent English skills; German or other languages are a plus
