Your responsibilities
What if you could play a key role in shaping Sysmex’s financial future by providing clarity, strategic insights, and proactive guidance? As a Controller (f/m/x), you act as a true Business Partner to our Business Units and functional leaders. You combine analytical strength with strategic thinking, taking ownership of planning, forecasting, and cost management while ensuring high-quality financial insights that support informed decision-making across the organization. Your key responsibilities include:
Strategic Cost Management
- Partnering with Business Units and functional leaders to support financial and strategic objectives
- Reviewing and analyzing SG&A costs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Driving cost optimization initiatives and ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial reporting
- Conducting targeted analyses on assets, CAPEX, cash flow, and other key financial metrics
Forecasting, Planning & Financial Insights
- Developing and maintaining scenario-based forecasting models
- Providing financial insights and recommendations for long-term strategic planning
- Leading the SG&A budget planning process and improving underlying tools and workflows
Workforce & Labor Cost Collaboration
- Working closely with HR to align workforce planning and labor cost structures with the overall financial strategy
- Ensuring accurate tracking and validation of FTE and personnel cost data
Process Optimization & Digitalization
- Continuously enhancing controlling processes, reporting tools, and data quality
- Contributing to digitalization and automation initiatives within the controlling function
Your profile
You will thrive in this role if you bring strong ownership, a proactive mindset, and the ambition to elevate controlling at Sysmex to the next level. Ideally, you offer the following qualifications and strengths:
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a related field (equivalent long-term experience in Controlling/Finance is also welcome)
- Several years of experience in planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational controlling in an international environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Solid understanding of IFRS principles and their practical application in corporate reporting is beneficial but not required
- Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers, data, and digital tools
- Demonstrated independence, proactivity, and strategic acumen
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly and build strong partnerships
- A hands-on mindset with a commitment to identifying and implementing cost and efficiency improvements
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
