Are you ready to take on a mission-critical role? We're launching a new global customs governance and searching for a motivated Customs Operations Officer. In this position, you'll be instrumental in driving excellence at our aviation spares distribution hubs in Hamburg Fuhlsbuettel and Hamburg Wilhelmsburg. These warehouses are serving our local, regional and global customers with aviation spares at a high variety of services levels.

Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities
As our Customs Operations Officer , you'll play a vital role in shaping our global customs processes. Here’s what you'll be doing:
Be a Customs Expert: Work closely with our central internal teams to ensure our operational processes reflect the latest customs regulations, tariffs and trade agreements
Drive Compliance Excellence: Ensure that our customs operations are executed flawlessly and in full compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
Support Assurance: Lend your expertise to both internal and external compliance audits, helping us maintain our high standards
Innovate & Improve: Actively identify and seize opportunities to continuously enhance our customs processes and procedures, making them even more efficient
Contribute to Optimization: You'll initiate and contribute to exciting projects focused on optimizing the efficiency of our import and export customs processes
Solve Challenges: Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and our internal teams to swiftly resolve any customs clearance issues that arise at the shipment level
Ensure Strong Partnerships: Be an important partner in reworking the Service Level Agreement between Satair and the Airbus Commercial Customs organization, ensuring seamless collaboration
Measure Success: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct monthly business reviews and drive corrective actions when needed
If you meet all the requirements, you can expect an annual gross salary between 75.000€ and 90.000€ .
Your Boarding Pass
To truly excel in this role, you'll be a proactive and knowledgeable professional with a passion for import, export and seamless logistics. Here's what we're looking for:
Educational Foundation: You'll have a Master's degree in International Trade, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management, or equivalent qualifications backed by several years of relevant work experience
Customs and Logistics Mastery: You possess a proven track record and deep expertise in customs clearance regulations, operations and logistics
Supply Chain Acumen: You bring strong workingexperience with supply chains or global logistics networks, while experiences in the aerospace environment would be beneficial
Systems Savvy: You're proficient with operational systems, including SAP and customs software systems , ideally gained within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
Project Contribution : First project management experiences are essential
Data-Driven Mindset: You have a strong affinity for data , and knowledge of data analytics tools would be a distinct plus
Language Skills: You are proficient in both German and English
