EMEA IFRS Accountant (f/m/x)
Your responsibilities
What if you could ensure that our financial reporting across EMEA is not only accurate and reliable, but fully aligned with international standards? As an EMEA IFRS Accountant (f/m/x), you serve as a trusted advisor to our affiliates, ensuring high-quality revenue recognition and clean balance sheets in compliance with IFR, especially IFRS 15. With your expertise, you strengthen transparency, data integrity, and informed decision-making across the organization. Your key responsibilities include:
Revenue Recognition & Affiliate Advisory
- Analysing affiliate contracts and ensuring revenue and related costs are recognized in full compliance with IFRS 15
- Providing clear, solution-oriented guidance to affiliates and ensuring timely, accurate implementation of required treatments
- Reviewing affiliate accounts regularly, aligning with the central IFRS advisory team, and ensuring discrepancies are corrected promptly
IFRS Postings & Accounting Entries
- Executing IFRS-related journal entries (accruals, deferred taxes, contract adjustments) for assigned affiliates with precision and completeness
- Reconciling contract liabilities and deferred revenue schedules monthly, investigating deviations, and resolving outstanding items with affiliates
Forecasting Support & Quarterly Reporting
- Supporting revenue and balance-sheet forecasting for contract-related items in line with IFRS and system data
- Contributing to quarterly reporting packages (FRP, ENP), ensuring IFRS-compliant, accurate figures and timely delivery
Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Monitoring
- Monitoring working capital components, lease-related investments, and cash-flow–relevant items
- Ensuring transparency of key movements and escalating material variances when needed
- Coordinating with treasury and cash-controlling to validate cash-flow projections linked to leases, deferrals, and contract structures
Data Validation & Continuous Improvement
- Enhancing data accuracy in the ERP system through regular validation, checks, and close collaboration with affiliates
- Identifying process gaps in IFRS postings and recommending improvements to strengthen controls, reduce errors, and accelerate close cycles
Your profile
You will thrive in this role if you combine strong IFRS know-how with a proactive, analytical mindset and a collaborative approach. You enjoy working across countries and functions and contribute to continuously improving our financial processes. Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:
- Relevant experience in financial accounting or reporting with a strong focus on IFRS, especially IFRS 15 and balance sheet monitoring
- Practical expertise in revenue recognition, contract accounting, and IFRS-related journal entries
- Solid understanding of internal controls, policy frameworks, and governance standards in multi-affiliate environments
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems in the Record-to-Report context
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and confidence when working with international stakeholders (e.g., auditors, regional finance, tax advisors)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are an advantage
