Head of Business Unit - Substations (m/f/d)

In this key leadership role, you will establish and manage our new Business Unit "Substations”, driving all activities related to sales, procurement, construction, and business development. You will work in a dynamic, international environment with flat hierarchies, flexible working arrangements, and plenty of room for professional growth.

Your Tasks

• Build and lead a cross-functional team covering sales, procurement, project execution, and business development.
• Drive customer relationships and sales activities in close collaboration with regional sales teams.
• Develop and expand a global supplier network for substation components and services, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Design and implement sourcing strategies to secure reliable and competitive supply chains.
• Manage supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance processes.
• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Project Execution teams to align supplier capabilities with project requirements.
• Identify and leverage synergies across regions to optimize cost structures and delivery timelines.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to continuously improve our value proposition.
• Ensure successful project execution, including budget, timeline, and quality control.

Your Profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or similar.
• Proven leadership experience in the energy sector, ideally in substations or grid infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects of substation projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution ability.
• Fluent in English and German.
