Internship Prompt Engineering & AI Workflows (m/f/d)

LOCATION: Hamburg, Stuttgart, Munich (remote possible) START: Immediately TYPE: Internship (full-time), 3-6 months

Blockbrain is a German deep tech company. Our AI platform combines knowledge management, intelligent automation and signal recognition to transform company data from documents, emails, APIs and databases into immediately usable insights and workflows – LLM-agnostic, GDPR-compliant, Made in Germany. We realize cross-industry high-impact projects for leading industrial and automotive companies, top international consultancies, renowned commercial law firms and hidden champions.

You will develop, test and document precise LLM prompts and design AI workflows that work measurably in the customer’s everyday life. You will work closely with our core team, be involved in real projects from day 1 and combine linguistic-analytical thinking with solid technical understanding. No research island – you work hands-on, evidence-based and results-oriented.

• Develop prompts: clear, context-rich input for different use cases.
• Ensure quality: Analyze responses, perform A/B tests, derive improvements.
• Document patterns: Maintain do’s & don’ts, edge cases and single source of truth.
• Fine-tuning with the team: tailoring prompts to specific customer requirements.
• Support testing: Check classification, analysis or research workflows.
• Optional: Introduce low/no-code prototypes (e.g. n8n, Microsoft Power Automate) or small scripts.

• Direct practical relevance : interface between AI product development and real-life applications.
• Project diversity : new requirements and sectors every week – no copy-paste.
• Mentoring & quick feedback loops : close sparring with consultants and engineers.
• Room for your own ideas : you test, instrument and improve on the basis of evidence.
• Flexible remote setup in Germany, optionally in our Hamburg, Stuttgart or Munich office.
• Modern tools : Fullspectrum approach platform, current LLMs, API prototyping.
• Plus : participation in internal deep dives on request (prompt evaluation, RAG patterns, safety/guardrails).

• CV/profile (preferably with project references).
• Short example (max. 1 page): two separate prompts for the same use case (e.g. "classify email” or "summarize contract”) including a brief explanation of why version B is more robust than version A.
