Your Tasks:

• Handling activities in accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and fixed assets accounting

• Clarifying, reconciling, and maintaining general ledger as well as accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers

• Processing travel expense and corporate credit card reports

• Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Assisting with the optimization, digitalization, and continuous improvement of existing processes

• Taking ownership of exciting projects and special topics (e.g., ERP system migration)

Your Skills:

• Completed commercial training or equivalent qualification

• Ideally, initial professional experience in accounting

• Independent, team-oriented, and solution-driven working style

• Analytical and process-oriented mindset with a quick grasp of new tasks

• Confident German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken

• Availability of at least 25 hours per week

Your Team:

In the Accounting team, we are specialists in all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting - for all Statista entities worldwide. We always keep an overview and ensure the smooth preparation of monthly/quarterly and annual financial statements when posting outgoing and incoming invoices, booking provisions, capitalizing assets and dealing with tricky accounting issues in accordance with IFRS and HGB. We are also involved in exciting IT and accounting optimization projects and work closely with our Controlling, Tax, Receivables Management and Group Accounting departments.
