As a (Junior) Procurement Buyer (f⁠/⁠m⁠/⁠d) at sea chefs, you can expect a varied range of tasks in purchasing – with a direct connection to seafaring!

You will be responsible for the operational supply of "our" cruise ships in the hotel and catering sector and your efforts will help to ensure that everything runs smoothly on board.

The main tasks include

• Operational purchasing and logistics: supplying the cruise ships (river and/or ocean) with food & beverage as well as other hotel and non-food products – in close cooperation with those responsible in the team and on board
• Order and invoice management: monitoring and initiating ship orders, checking invoices and purchasing controlling
• Quality assurance: monitoring and ensuring product and service quality.
• Cross-divisional topic work: support for projects and initiatives in procurement and logistics
• Support in the further development of procurement processes and systems (including CrunchTime, Oracle Fusion, Excel tools) – incl. interface management, data analysis and reporting

What you bring with you:

• Commercial training or comparable profile – ideally with experience in purchasing, logistics or in a maritime environment
• Practical experience in F&B purchasing and/or procurement; experience on board cruise ships is a plus
• Interest in digital procurement processes, good understanding of system-supported processes
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel; initial experience with ERP or merchandise management systems is an advantage
• Analytical thinking, economic understanding and a structured, independent way of working
• Team spirit, strong communication skills, assertiveness and enjoyment of cross-departmental collaboration
• Ability to work under pressure, reliability, integrity and confident manners
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• A valid work permit for Germany (e.g. EU citizenship, Blue Card or other residence permit with work permit) is required
