What you will do
As a Laboratory Technician – Mounting Solutions, you will be part of our dynamic product development team, where we design, develop, and optimize double‑sided adhesive tape solutions for a wide range of mounting and fixation applications. In this hands‑on laboratory role, you will actively contribute to strengthening our technological leadership by supporting material development, process optimization, and the generation of high‑quality, reliable data.
You will work closely with scientists, engineers, and cross‑functional partners across R&D, pilot‑plant, and production, playing a key role in translating innovative adhesive concepts into robust, scalable solutions.
Your tasks Include:
- Ensure a well‑organized, safe, and efficient laboratory environment by consistently applying 5S+S principles, maintaining audit readiness and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Collaborate in the development, optimization, and maintenance of double‑sided adhesive tape technologies, contributing to material formulation, process improvements, and product enhancements.
- Plan, conduct, and evaluate laboratory, pilot‑plant, and production trials in close alignment with the responsible functions and project objectives.
- Analyze adhesive tape samples with regard to adhesive performance, material properties, and polymer characteristics using established analytical and mechanical testing methods.
- Generate high‑quality, reproducible data and actively support the standardization and continuous improvement of test methods within the laboratory.
- Support the digitalization of R&D workflows by working with digital tools such as LIMS and AI‑based systems, helping to accelerate development cycles and improve data quality.
- Take responsibility for sub‑projects or defined work packages within larger R&D projects, collaborating closely with project leads and cross‑functional teams.
- Document experimental work, prepare technical reports, and independently present results in project meetings and relevant expert forums.
What you will need
- Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Chemical Production Technician, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in a relevant laboratory, pilot‑plant, or production‑related environment.
- Strong enjoyment of practical, hands‑on laboratory work combined with a high sense of ownership for laboratory organization and processes.
- Genuine interest in developing and testing innovative adhesive systems and exploring new technical concepts.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly, while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong team spirit, clear communication skills, and a structured, reliable working style.
- Proficient German skills (written and spoken) and intermediate English skills.
