The Lürssen Foundation Local Residential Fellowship Programme – InterAction is pleased to announce an open call for one-year residential fellowships (with the possibility of extension) for startups, spin-offs, research groups, and student teams.

What to expect
Connection | Acceleration | Validation | Growth
From 30 April 2026 to 30 April 2027, Fellows will work on their individual and joint innovation projects on-site at the Lürssen Foundation Innovation Hub at Terminal in Rijeka, gaining hands-on experience, building professional networks, and developing impactful solutions for the maritime industry.
The Fellowship programme aims to:
- Promote maritime innovation by mentoring innovative ideas addressing sustainability and technology challenges
- Strengthen transnational and regional maritime communities through cooperation and collaboration

Who are we looking for
- Students, researchers, or entrepreneurs in areas from science, technology, engineering and mathematics to social sciences and humanities, or related interdisciplinary fields
- Motivated individuals or teams with an innovative and creative proposal

- A 500-word description of the R&D project or innovation concept to be developed during the fellowship, including the anticipated one-year outcomes and, where applicable, the business plan/commercialisation concept

- University diploma (with diploma supplement) or certificate of enrolment with an up-to-date transcript of records
