What you will do
As Manager Pilot Center, you will lead the team with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficient processes. You hold operational responsibility for all pilot equipment and act as the designated BImSchG process manager, ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards through hazard assessments, preventive measures, and employee training.
In this role, you will oversee operations, allocate resources effectively, develop staff capabilities, and maintain a high-performing, state-of-the-art equipment landscape. You are a catalyst for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and digitalization. Collaborating closely with Product- and Technology development, C-SHEQ, and global pilot centers, you will enhance productivity while safeguarding people, processes, and equipment.
Your tasks include:
- Guarantee safe and compliant operations and act as Deputy Quality Representative
- Organize, control, and optimize pilot-scale processing with a strong focus on productivity and quality
- Manage the equipment fleet, ensuring state-of-the-art condition, availability, and reliability
- Identify operational risks, conduct hazard analyses, and implement preventive and corrective measures
- Lead, coach, and develop operations staff and group leaders, fostering a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Drive continuous improvement, KPI tracking, and digitalization initiatives
- Collaborate closely with with Product- and Technology development, C-SHEQ, and cross-regional stakeholders
- Plan and manage resources, budgeting, and capacity for the Pilot Center
What you will need
- Master’s degree in Engineering and ~10 years of relevant experience.Strong knowledge of lean methods, material flow, TPM, and SHEQ regulations.
- Hands-on, technically skilled, and assertive working style.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and project management capability.
- Clear communicator able to work with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop people.
- Fluent German and proficient English skills.
