Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring Ørsted’s compliance with relevant market rules for power related data exchange.
Welcome to Global Revenue Services
You’ll be part of Global Contract Settlements where you, together with your colleagues, will be the super user for our IT systems processing these data, working closely with our IT colleagues and vendors on implementing any necessary changes to the system landscape and set up. You’ll also play a key role in the quality assurance of our power volume data, act on missing or incorrect data and ensure the communication flow to stakeholders.
As a team, we help each other, share knowledge and learning, and support each other to succeed and develop. We maintain an informal dialogue within the team and enable work in a hybrid set-up.
You’ll play an important role in:
- ensuring Ørsted’s compliance with all metering and settlement data aspects of the Balancing and Settlement Code and its subsidiary documents relevant for generators and trading parties
- ensuring Ørsted’s compliance with National Grid ESO Grid Code obligations for the trading party
- participating in relevant industry events to keep yourself and relevant colleagues updated with upcoming market rule changes
- representing Ørsted in Elexon workgroups, BSC Panel subgroups, and other industry change processes (e.g., Ofgem consultations, NGESO forums)
- ensuring data availability and high data quality standards for settlement, forecasting & analysis purposes
- coordinating with Meter Operator Agents (MOAs) and Half-Hourly Data Collectors to ensure metering data is accurate and compliant with BSC obligations
- investigating and resolving metering errors, data mismatches, or settlement disputes in coordination with Elexon or relevant agents
To succeed in the role, you:
- Ideally have several years of experience in UK power markets, ideally within a generator or asset owner/operator context
- have a solid understanding of the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC), ideally from a generator/trading unit perspective
- are familiar with Elexons data processes for BSC Settlement, National Grid ESO interfaces, data flows, and Grid Code obligations
- have a master’s degree in engineering, business, economics or similar
- speak and write English fluently
- work systematically, show responsibility and deliver high-quality results.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
