We are looking for a Product Design Engineer (d/f/m) Cabin Interior!

Location :

You will be working at one of the largest production sites for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg, Germany.

About the Team / Opportunities:

Our team develops cabin linings - with a strong focus on inhouse know-how for design and manufacturing- for all aircraft types. Furthermore, the integration of electrical components and the processing of customer requests about aircrafts that have already been delivered are part of our scope of work. As a Design Engineer, you are involved in the entire development process - from the initial studies to the design of the series component. You can expect an open-minded team that loves developing safe, innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers. In your role, you can actively shape technical solutions and contribute your ideas. There is also the opportunity to work across programs and across countries with other Airbus sides, supplier and customer. And constantly expand your own knowledge as well as get to know future-oriented topics such as MBSE.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar qualification.
  
• 1-2 Years of experience in detailed design in transport design (Aircraft, Automotive, Train)
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master´s degree in Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar qualification.
  
• Experience in detailed design work for thermoplastic, crash core/sandwich design
  
• Experience in in Aeronautic environment (DOA) would be a plus
  
• Experience in a proficient use of common office tools like Google
  
• Excellent Knowledge in design tools like CATIA
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work-streams in a fast paced environment, and to work on tight timescales while maintaining excellent execution.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  

Responsibilities

• You are responsible to design technical solutions from concept to manufacturing in line with customer needs and regulations
  
• You create and commission aircraft documentation and specifications
  
• The job requires independent and responsible work as well as a high level of interdisciplinarity and communication skills.
  

• You create individual part drawings,like assembly drawings, installation drawings, parts lists,
  
• You maintain corresponding tools such as CATIA
  
• You coordinate with internal and international customers and stakeholders regarding detailed design, integration and manufacturing of the components to be developed
  
• Experience in the design and manufacture of injection moulding and/or pressing
  
• Knowledge of plastics and resin systems
