Your missions

The Project Manager for Operational Excellence is responsible for leading initiatives that enhance operational performance, streamline processes, and support business transformation. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams, and solid expertise in process optimization. A strong understanding of aircraft operations or aerospace industry standards is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Process Management

  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from initiation to completion.
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for optimization related to quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies to drive performance improvements.
  • Monitor and report project progress, risks, and KPIs to leadership.

2. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Coordinate and motivate cross-functional project teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, problem-solving sessions, and process-mapping activities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across departments.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members on CI tools and best practices.

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use Excel/google sheets to analyze performance data, build dashboards, and quantify improvements.
  • Prepare clear, professional presentations in PowerPoint/google slides for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and generate structured improvement plans.

4. Aerospace / Aircraft Knowledge

  • Apply understanding of aircraft manufacturing, manufacturing engineering maintenance, or aviation processes to ensure improvement initiatives align with operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace standards, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures.

Your profile

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree /equivalent in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project management or continuous improvement roles.
  • Strong process mindset with hands-on experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (analysis, dashboards, advanced functions).
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint/Google Slides (clear and professional reporting).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in the aircraft or aerospace industry.
  • Project Management Certification
  • CI Certification: Lean Green Belt/Black Belt or Six Sigma equivalent.
  • Knowledge of operational excellence frameworks (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
