Über diesen Job

I Indivumed is a biotech company focusing on precision oncology. For almost 25 years, we have been driven by a single, overarching vision: a world in which precision therapy offers a cure for every cancer patient.

Specialized in early drug discovery, our R&D approach is based on the belief that we need to fundamentally understand the disease to gain novel insights and develop effective therapeutics. To do so, we start with carefully collected and curated patient samples, resulting in a comprehensive and proprietary database. By employing advanced biomathematical and bioinformatic methods on this excellent data, we discover therapeutically novel targets. From our high-quality tissue, we generate patient-derived 2D and 3D cellular models allowing us to perform target validation and therapeutic development in an environment that is as close to the patient as possible.

Drive, dedication, and our shared purpose make us who we are.

Driven by our pioneering spirit and our shared purpose, we explore the complexity of cancer with curiosity and determination. Thriving on innovation, we value unique perspectives and visionary scientific approaches to grow together_._ Whether as a scientist, as a data analyst, or in a corporate function – everyone contributes to our common goal.

If you thrive on discovery, come join our team and make your impact!

Tasks

We are looking for an exceptional Scientist to lead our efforts in the identification and characterization of novel therapeutic antibodies. You will be the subject matter expert for flow cytometry, responsible for standardizing, executing and analyzing high-throughput screening of hybridomas targeting critical cancer surface proteins.

  • Serve as the team's go-to expert for complex, multi-color flow cytometry (BD Fortessa X20)
  • Perform daily instrument quality control, calibration, compensation, and troubleshooting to ensure consistent, high-quality data output.
  • Develop and implement SOPs. Train other users.
  • Establish SOPs for panel design, titration of antibodies, sample preparation, staining, acquisition, and data analysis using FlowJo or similar software.
  • Design, optimize, and implement robust, high-throughput flow cytometry-based screening protocols to identify and rank monoclonal antibodies from hybridomas.
  • Flow cytometry-based analysis of receptor internalization/shedding
  • Independently analyze datasets using software such as FlowJo. Interpret results critically and present findings.
  • Develop and execute high throughput flow-based assays, including immunophenotyping, cell viability, cell cycle and cytokine profiling.
  • Develop, validate, and perform a range of cancer-specific immunological and cell-based functional assays to characterize antibody candidates such as CDC and ADCC
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in all departments to develop flow cytometry-based assays
  • Maintain accurate documentation of experiments and service logs for compliance and reproducibility.

Requirements

  • PhD in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of flow cytometry principles, sample preparation, and multi-color panel optimization. Extensive hands-on experience with flow cytometry including panel design, compensation, multicolor analysis, and complex gating strategies, troubleshooting, maintenance of the flow cytometer.
  • Experience with high throughput FACS acquisition and analysis at 96/384 well scale is required
  • Proven expertise in working with monoclonal antibody characterization against cell surface targets and analysis of receptor internalization/shedding.
  • Solid understanding of cancer immunology and experience developing functional assays such as ADCC, CDC, or immune checkpoint assays.
  • Experience with immuno-histochemistry is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results to deadlines.
  • Clear and effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Benefits

  • Demanding area of responsibility in a fast-growing company
  • Grant for the HVV ProfiTicket/Deutschlandticket
  • Subsidy for sports membership and events
  • Company pension scheme
  • Company doctor
  • Fresh fruits and drinks
  • Christmas and summer party
  • Flexible working hours
  • German and English courses
  • 30 days holiday
  • The 24th and 31st of December are holidays and won´t be deducted from your annual holidays.
