We are looking for a hands-on Senior Frontend Developer (React) to join our international engineering team. At SEON, you will work on our control room application that forms the core of our safety and emergency response platform. You will collaborate closely with Backend, Product, and Engineering leadership to build reliable, high-quality experiences that help organizations protect people and respond to critical events faster. If you enjoy owning features end-to-end, shaping frontend architecture, and working on technology with real-world impact, this role is a great fit.

Tasks

• Develop, maintain, and enhance our React Web app
• Take ownership of frontend architecture and contribute to long-term technical decisions
• Implement features involving offline functionality, maps & geolocation, secure data handling, and real-time interactions
• Ensure performance, stability, and a great user experience
• Work closely with our Product Owner and engineering team to refine requirements
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development processes
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality, mission-critical software

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building applications with React
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and web architecture patterns
• Experience with offline-capabilities, maps & geolocation services, and mobile security best practices
• Familiarity with REST APIs; experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus
• Hands-on, ownership-driven mindset with attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work mostly overlapping with CET (±2 hours)
• English fluency; German is a plus
• Valid work authorization for Germany (employment via SEON GmbH)
