Drive the transition towards sustainable ocean logistics

At DSV, we take responsibility for reducing emissions across our global supply chains – and we see sustainability as a key driver of customer value and growth. We are now looking for a Global Senior Manager, Sustainability to lead our global efforts in developing, commercialising, and scaling decarbonised freight solutions.

In this leadership role, you will own the global ocean decarbonisation strategy and ensure we stay ahead of regulatory requirements, market expectations, and customer demand. You will work closely with our Product owners, Sales, Corporate Sustainability, and Operations teams worldwide – and engage directly with customers, partners, and regulators – to make sustainable logistics a competitive advantage for DSV.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the global strategy: Support and drive the global roadmap for decarbonised ocean freight – including alternative fuels, book-and-claim systems, and green corridors.
• Regulatory leadership: Act as global subject matter expert on regulatory frameworks (EU ETS Maritime, FuelEU Maritime, IMO) and ensure compliance is translated into clear customer value.
• Product development & commercialisation: Lead the development and rollout of decarbonised solutions, ensuring robust data, methodologies, and customer documentation.
• Partnerships & supply security: Build strong relationships with carriers, fuel suppliers, and technology partners to secure access to low- and zero-carbon solutions at scale.
• Customer engagement: Support strategic customer dialogues at executive level, co-develop tailored solutions, and position DSV as the trusted partner for sustainable supply chains.
• Industry representation: Represent DSV in global networks and industry fora, building credibility and influence in the transition to sustainable shipping.
• Leadership: Lead a global team of sustainability experts and drive collaboration across regions and functions in a complex, matrix organisation.

Your Profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience from ocean freight, shipping, energy, or logistics, with a proven track record in sustainability and decarbonisation.
• Strong knowledge of international and regional regulatory frameworks and ability to turn compliance into commercial opportunities.
• Experience developing and leading sustainability solutions in close collaboration with customers and partners.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and driving change across regions and business functions.
• Established network within the global ocean freight ecosystem, including carriers, regulators, and industry associations.
• Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
