Senior Planning Engineer – Railway Energy Systems / Overhead Lines

About the Role
Are you experienced in electrical or energy engineering and eager to contribute to the modernization of railway infrastructure? We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to strengthen our transport team, focusing on overhead line systems for railway energy networks. This role offers the chance to engage in impactful projects that support the transition to sustainable mobility.
Key Responsibilities
Build and manage a specialist team across multiple locations while coordinating available resources.
Act as a key contact for project partners, clients, and regulatory authorities.
Plan, document, and advise on railway electrical systems, with emphasis on overhead line technology, across all HOAI service phases and in line with applicable standards and regulations.
Contribute to project management, ensuring tasks are delivered on time and to specification.
Support the preparation of service calculations and proposals.
Your Profile
Degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of professional experience in planning electrical systems for railway infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of HOAI as well as VDE regulations, DIN standards, and relevant laws.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, OLAcad, and iTWO.
Interest in digitalization and familiarity with BIM methodology.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and assertively.
Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
