Senior Product Manager (m/f/d) - Trip Interaction
Join us as a Senior Product Manager (m/f/d) in our Trip Interaction team on a shared journey that matters!
As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be part of our Trip Interaction team, which is responsible for ensuring our customers have all they need during their ride. This includes our current service on the streets of Hamburg, as well as cities in a global market that we will serve in an autonomous Mobility-as-a service licensing setup with our B2B or B2G customers.
Your team is handling the entire part of the user journey starting after a successful booking and ending once the rider has reached their final destination. First step is the authentication at the autonomous vehicle through different technologies. Once the rider has entered the vehicle , your team provides real-time information and educational material, rider guidance and relevant trip updates throughout the service experience. In the autonomous service , the app acts as a digital companion to guide and support riders throughout their journey, ensuring a safe, smooth, and enjoyable trip experience. What this team does is essential when ensuring a high level of trust and reliability for all passengers. In this position , you will be working at the forefront of increasing the acceptance and satisfaction of autonomous mobility from rider and app side.
We are a cross-functional team of developers , designers and domain experts , passionately striving to improve our service quality . We live by the saying : " you build it , you run it ”. We strive for calm nights and weekends without incidents by delivering software with the highest engineering quality . We value open communication , constructive discussions and prioritize collaboration and knowledge exchange within the team and across teams .
What you will do
- Ensure rider satisfaction with autonomous rides and safety from the app side — by supporting first-time AD riders, delivering reliable authentication, introducing safety and comfort features, and improving pick-up and drop-off. You’ll collaborate closely with vehicle-focused teams to make this happen
- Build impactful features that solve real customer and rider problems and drive business success — all while navigating a technically complex environment
- Gain in-depth understanding of the riders‘ needs and translate rider and B2B/B2G customer feedback into meaningful insights that fuel your roadmap
- Use different insight sources (data, user research, prototyping) to identify potential with an impact towards our mission, strategy and measurable goals
- Balance the needs of the rider and customer with those of the business, and bring that business perspective to the team from discovery to delivery and impact evaluation
- Prepare and prioritize new features such as epics and stories for planning and refinement meetings within the team
- Together with your team make a good choice for quarterly plannings, fed by strategic focus, rider and business opportunities and technical investments, and then make your plans come true
- Join forces with the Technical Lead and Agile Coach of the team to share technical and business critical responsibilities, which ensures you are building a stable & high-quality product and maintain a great team culture
- Create alignment within the team as well as with other teams to manage dependencies and timelines for cross-team functionalities
- Manage external partnerships with our Autonomous Driving partners
- Represent the Trip Interaction team within the Product Community, sharing your experience in building highly valuable products with your peers to elevate each other
What will help you to fulfill your role
- You love solving complex problems for your users, are experienced with B2C mobile app development and are keen on managing multiple stakeholders with different backgrounds. With this mindset , you navigate confidently between the rider-focused B2C part and the B2B-focused business setup.
- Excellence: With your vast experience in Product Management, you master the skill to find the balance between business, stakeholder and user needs. You leverage data to make informed decisions and create a shared understanding to ensure your prioritization is aligned and understood by all relevant parties.
- Visionary : You think big, craft compelling visions for your ideas and understand what makes your products commercially viable. You are excited about bringing business value and can bridge the gap between technical world and business world.
- Pragmatist: You get things done, make sound decisions and resolve issues effectively. You enjoy getting involved and discussing complex challenges - and then you trust the team to take it from there to figure out architecture and implementation.
- Validation & analyzing : You validate hypothesis fast and work in a lean way with your team. Making sense of quantitative data and applying the insights to build impactful products is what you love.
- Excellent Communicator: People enjoy working with you because you communicate well and evoke optimism, even when you’re communicating complex information. You are experienced in adjusting your messaging to different stakeholders and inspire people by translating your expertise into clear and straightforward language. Plus, you are not afraid of asking a lot of questions to refine your understanding.
- Ways of working and tooling : You're comfortable using tools like e.g. opportunity solution trees or KPI trees to structure thinking and guide focused decision-making — without letting the tool become the center of attention
- Growth Mindset: You navigate organizational dynamics, market disruptions, and ambiguous situations with confidence, resilience and adaptability, using setbacks as opportunities for growth and innovation. You exhibit a deeper commitment to personal and professional growth, actively seeking opportunities to expand your impact, serving as role models for your team members.
- Fluent communication in English is required, German is a plus.
