BESCHREIBUNG
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager - Field Ops to lead, streamline, and elevate our processes and drive program improvement and optimization within the Amazon Last Mile Expansion business in Germany. This senior role requires a seasoned professional who can not only manage but also innovate and strategize at a high level. The Senior Program Manager will leverage their extensive experience with data analytics to automate our processes, significantly increase our efficiency, and enable us to deliver larger-scale results. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully partnering with station managers and operators to identify and implement process and program improvements.
The Amazon Last Mile Expansion program is a cutting-edge model designed to enable Amazon to support speed initiatives and on-demand capacity in the EU. This program is powered by a sophisticated mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems, allowing operators to onboard, schedule delivery times, guide them through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation, and more. The approach and technology are disruptive and promise to challenge traditional approaches, potentially revolutionizing industry operations.
The successful candidate will be a highly seasoned professional with an experience in program management and optimization. They will be self-motivated, passionate, analytically proficient, and detail-oriented, possessing superior interpersonal and communication skills honed through years of experience. The ideal Senior Program Manager will be comfortable working independently to drive growth and change in a fast-paced environment, leveraging their extensive background to make high-impact decisions.
A strong bias for action and a deep comfort with complex data analysis are absolute musts for this senior role. Candidates must demonstrate a substantial track record of delivering results at a senior level, with examples of successfully leading large-scale projects and teams. The ability to think strategically, influence key stakeholders, and drive transformational change across the organization will be critical for success in this senior position.
Key job responsibilities
Find opportunities to automate and optimize existing Last Mile processes. This includes, but not limited to, our under the roof processes and on road processes.
You will partner with the Amazon Logistics DE team to deploy program, process and station improvements. The successful candidate will also manage AMZL and SSD-D stations where we operate this program by partnering with station operations in order to improve the driver experience under the roof to hit cost, safety, quality targets for the program. Another part of the role will be recommending changes and using your project management and stakeholder management skills to put new processes in place.
Partner with WW Flex/ Last Mile teams to understand common challenges to adopt standard practice and identify opportunities to collaborate with tech teams to build automated tooling and solutions to hand off our processes.
A day in the life
As a Senior Program Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of making Amazon’s logistics better – which means improving safety, productivity, and quality.
You will partner with the Amazon Logistics DE team to deploy program, process and station improvements. The successful candidate will also manage 3P partner suppliers by optimizing scheduling and routing and enhancing driver capacity in order to hit cost, safety, quality targets for the program. Another part of the role will include partnering with station managers and associates to determine current pain points in the program, root cause problems and identify short and long term solutions to improve partner and driver experience while achieving business metrics.
The successful candidate will be based in any delivery station in Hamburg, DE. The candidate will be expected to visit Delivery Stations across Germany with travel expected up to 25% of the time.
GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience leading process improvements
