BAWAG Group is the publicly listed holding company of BAWAG, one of Austria’s largest banks with over 4 million customers. As a dynamic employer, we foster talent and rapidly drive technological innovation. Flat hierarchies, a flexible work environment, and equal opportunities for our employees are especially important to us.
Join the BAWAG Digital Growth Team
BAWAG Group is a multi-brand banking group serving customers across Europe and the United States. We focus on simple, transparent financial products delivered efficiently at scale. Digital acquisition is central to our growth strategy, and organic / generative search visibility is mission-critical.
The impact you’ll own
Accelerate digital sales by driving qualified organic discovery for Consumer Loans · Current Accounts · Investment / Brokerage Accounts · Credit Cards · SME / Freelancer Accounts. You will own the group-wide SEO & generative-search roadmap across our core markets—covering technical health, intent-led content, structured data, and emerging LLM / AI search surfaces.
What you’ll do
- Lead group-wide organic & generative-search strategy across AT, DE, NL, IE & US.
- Audit and improve technical foundations (crawlability, Core Web Vitals, structured data, hreflang, index management) with Technology partners.
- Cross-channel demand insight. Quantify how paid activity (Paid Social, Google Media, SEA) influences branded search, direct visits and engagement with priority product pages; feed insights into planning.
- Integrate SEO & GEO in the Website content team workflow. Ensure new pages/templates across our brands ship with the right metadata, structured data, FAQ blocks and accurate product info (rates, fees, eligibility) so search engines & AI assistants surface correct answers.
- Performance signal plumbing. Partner with the attribution team to map organic visits and key intent pages to downstream metrics (application starts, approvals, funded / activated accounts).
- Structured experimentation roadmap. Prioritise and run tests (template variants, internal linking, FAQ schema capture, GEO experiments) and report impact.
- Publisher & syndication growth. Identify high-authority publishers / comparison portals / community channels and develop scalable outreach or syndication motion to grow qualified organic traffic.
- Own measurement: GA4, GSC, log-file insights & BI dashboards that translate visibility shifts into funnel impact.
- Partner cross-functionally with Performance Marketing (Paid Social, Google Media, SEA), Website Content team, Technology, Product / Sales, Analytics & attribution teams to align growth targets, tracking and go-to-market timing.
- Monitor algorithm / LLM changes and competitor moves; publish prioritized action plans.
What you bring
- 5+ years hands-on SEO experience, including success scaling multi-market or multilingual sites.
- Experience in financial services, fintech or another regulated / high-governance environment (preferred, not required).
- Deep technical SEO skills (structured data, log-file analysis, site architecture, JavaScript rendering, indexing at scale).
- Demonstrated ability to build or guide large content programs tied to commercial funnels.
- Familiarity with emerging LLM / AI search ecosystems and how structured data, authority and content freshness influence generative answers.
- Analytical strength: you are comfortable moving from GA4 / GSC exports to actionable insights; SQL or BI familiarity a plus.
- Fluency in English; German helpful for DACH stakeholder alignment.
What we offer
- FlexOffice is our motto! Work in the comfort of your own home whenever it aligns with your job responsibilities.
- Our office is modern and conveniently located.
- Strong collaboration and diversity are actively lived within our teams.
- We support personal development and career planning through a customized and attractive training program.
- In addition, we offer exciting and lucrative additional benefits.
For this position, the full-time collective agreement minimum base salary is €3,272.23 per month. Depending on experience and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay more.
