Service Engineer - Strategic Product Development (m/f/d)

As a Service Engineer (m/f/d) in strategic product development, you are the central interface between the service department and product development. You represent the interests of the service department in all phases of product development and ensure that service requirements are identified early on, specified, and integrated into the product concepts. Your goal is to maximize the serviceability of new products and thus increase customer satisfaction and efficiency in after-sales.

YOUR TASKS

• Representing service interests in interdisciplinary development projects
• Defining and coordinating service requirements together with service, product management and development
• Ensuring the implementation of service requirements in product design, documentation and digital solutions
• Evaluating prototypes and concepts in terms of ease of maintenance, repairability and remote service options
• Participating in design-for-serviceability workshops and FMEA
• Working closely with international service units to take global requirements into account
• Analyzing service processes and feedback from the field to derive requirements for future products

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in renewable energies, mechanical engineering or comparable field
• Preferably several years of experience in technical service, ideally in connection with product development
• Knowledge of product development and Service processes
• Knowledge of CAD tools Creo 4 Parametric or NX CAD desirable
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work at heights
