As Staff/Senior Algorithm Developer your are going to drive our backend components taking care about simulation and optimization of production plans/ scheduled. You are mainly working on our simulation component to enable high-performance execution of simulations of production plans. Additionally you are actively working on consolidating backend objects to support concurrent editing.

You are working closely with Fullstack developers as well as other AI/ Optimization Engineers in your team.

Activities

• Development and implementation of high performance simulation algorithms for scheduling and planning in production environments.
• Work on integrating simulation components with optimization algorithms (together with other team members).
• Strong focus on backend software design and optimization in python and go.
• Collaboration with domain experts and Full Stack Developers to create solutions for complex business requirements.
• Improvement of Developer Experience/ Productivity through CI enhancements (automated scaled testing pipelines, coding standards, …) in go and python.
• Driving the test strategy for backend components.
• Educating other team members about the built algorithms and ways to maintain them.

Requirements

• Expert Level Coding Skill in Python
• At least Senior Level Coding Skill in Go or Rust
• Professional experience in software design and architecture
• Experience in end-to-end python project delivery from development to operations (development, testing, build, containerization, deployment, operations).
• Optional: Experience with mathematical solvers (linear/non-linear; e.g. Gurobi, CPLEX, ortools,…).
• Optional: Experience with other languages such as C++, Rust or similar
• Optional: Mathematical education background
